I don’t know about you but most days I’m on the lookout for people I can talk to about the crazy, weird things I enjoy. It’s not everyone that will talks for hours about making shampoo, using essential oils, cleaning with microfiber and the like. So, I have found my community online in blog form. I can write about the things that I love and sometimes people connect with me on this level and we can be crazy, weird friends.
I try these natural ideas out on my very patient family. My son actually said he was making lavender lotion the other day in his dump truck. That made this momma so proud. I think my husband was a little worried about the whole thing but he does very well at supporting me in this—he even tries out the creations I make for him! My daughter usually picks “momma’s cream” over any other, so that is encouraging. We are an odd, fun-loving bunch and I wouldn’t trade this life for any other. I also try to save money and time while working toward removing chemicals from my home and moving us into more real food and less processed junk. I don’t know anyone who has unlimited time and money, so I think this is an important piece to most people. With every experiment, I want to encourage the very busy woman with little money to spare on these things to do some of her own experimentation and understand the fulfillment that can be found in it.
My goal is never to tell people what they should do with their lives or homes. I really just want to share the journey with others, including my horrific failures and my encouraging successes. Who knew you could get so excited about an oil that helps with sleep? Or making your own dryer sheets? That’s me—the excited one. So, if that’s you too, or if that is something you want to try out, this is the place for you! Come join us as we try new things and endeavor to learn how to make our homes and lives more affordably natural. In the online community, we often have to address people with differing opinions or walks of life. Please be respectful with your comments and discussions, remembering that just because someone disagrees with you does not make them the enemy. This is not the place to air grievances or attack anyone. Let’s support each other in making life easier and more natural together!
